JL Dance Academy - Payment Terms

Welcome to JL Dance Academy!

We’ve created these payment terms to be clear and fair for everyone. Our goal is to keep things running smoothly so we can focus on what matters most - dancing!

Monthly Class Fees

We’ve made our pricing simple and transparent:

  • 30 minute classes: £14.90/month
  • 45 minute classes: £17.75/month
  • 60 minute classes: £20.75/month
  • Love to dance? Take 4 or more classes and get a 5% discount!

How Our Monthly Payments Work

We spread the cost of classes evenly across the year to make budgeting easier for everyone:

  • Your monthly fee stays the same all year round - no surprises!
  • Payments are due on the 14th of each month for the following month
  • This system means you’re always two weeks ahead, helping us maintain a stable, quality service
  • If you decide to leave, you’re welcome to attend until the end of your paid period

Joining or Leaving Mid-Term?

No problem! We’ll adjust your payments fairly based on your start or end date. Just let us know your plans, and we’ll sort out the details.

Holiday Periods and Closures

Good news - we’ve already factored these into your monthly fee:

  • Your annual fee is calculated based on actual teaching weeks
  • You’re only paying for the days we’re open, just spread evenly across the year
  • This means no complicated adjustments for holidays or term breaks

Getting Started

After your trial period, we set up automatic payments to keep things hassle-free:

  • New to JL Dance? Your first payment will be adjusted to match your start date
  • Annual membership fee: £24.00 (September-August, pro-rated if you join mid-year)

Payment Guide for Additional Activities

Here’s how different activities are handled:

  • Regular Classes: Monthly automatic payment on the 14th
  • Dance Exams: Separate invoice with specific due date
  • Private Lessons & Workshops: Book and pay online
  • Show Costumes: Details and payment info sent by email
  • Competitions:
    • Individual entries (Solos/Duets): Payment with entry form
    • Group performances: Invoiced separately

Keeping Your Account Healthy

To maintain the quality of our service and fairness to all students:

  • A £15.00 fee applies to payments more than 10 days late
  • Overdue accounts can’t book extras (competitions, workshops, etc.) until settled
  • Students with payments 14+ days overdue will need to pause classes until the account is current

Cancellation Policies

We understand plans change! Here’s what you need to know:

  • Private Lessons: 72 hours notice needed for cancellation and refund
  • Room Hire: 48 hours notice needed for cancellation and refund
  • Need a refund? Just reach out - we’re here to help!

Additional Sessions

Attending an extra class or workshop? Make sure to book in advance - any unbooked attendance will be charged afterwards.

Our Agreement

By making payments to JL Dance Academy, you’re agreeing to these terms. They’re included in all our invoices and communications for transparency. We aim to be fair and clear with everyone - it helps us provide the best possible dance education for all our students!
