Absolutely. Lots of our dancers explore more than one style – we offer everything from Acro and Ballet to Street and Musical Theatre. Just let us know and we'll help you find a second trial that suits their age and interests.

We'll check in with you after class to see how it went. If your child enjoyed it and you'd like to continue, we'll help you get everything set up — no pressure!

All classes take place at JL Dance, Whiteley Road, Ripley, DE5 3QL. You can find directions and parking info on our Contact page or just tap "Find on map" in the footer.

All our classes are designed to be independent — we don't have viewing areas inside the studios. For younger children, we have friendly assistants in class to help them settle in. Parents are welcome to wait in our small reception area if you'd like to stay close by.

For most school-age children, it's absolutely fine to drop them off — that's very common, and we'll have your contact number on file from your booking. If you want to nip to the shops, go for it! For our littlest dancers (ages 2½ to early 4s), we suggest staying nearby — either in reception or close to the studio — just in case your little one needs you.

Totally normal — lots of our dancers are a bit unsure at first. Our teachers are brilliant at helping new faces settle in gently, and there's absolutely no pressure to get everything perfect on day one.

Just a drink (preferably water) and a big smile. An extra layer to warm up in if cold outside, and clean shoes!

Most trial classes are one single session — just like a regular class — so your child can get a real feel for it. If you'd like to try more than one session before deciding, we can usually arrange that too.
