Privacy and cookies
JL uses the information needed to run classes safely, manage accounts and communicate with families. We limit access, give children’s and health information extra care, and ask before using optional cookies or promotional permissions.
Information we use
- Student and parent details, class records, attendance and communications.
- Emergency contacts, authorised collectors and relevant health, allergy, injury, disability or support information.
- Payment status and transaction records. Secure payment providers normally handle card details rather than JL storing them.
- Exam, competition, performance, permission and appropriate image records.
- Website information from essential storage and any optional analytics or advertising choices.
Why we use it
- Contract: enrolment, classes, accounts, bookings and requested services.
- Legal obligation: records required for tax, accounting, employment, safety or regulation.
- Legitimate interests: safe and effective administration, communication, security and service improvement, balanced carefully against children’s rights.
- Consent: optional promotional images, marketing, non-essential cookies and other uses where a genuine choice is needed.
- Health information needs both an Article 6 basis and an appropriate Article 9 condition. Vital interests is reserved for a genuine life-protecting emergency.
