📅 Key Dates
- Ticket Sales Start 15th February 2026 at 10:00 AM via stagestubs.com/jldance-academy
- Half-Term Rehearsals Thursday 9th & Friday 10th April 2026 at JL Dance Academy (bookable via Acuity closer to the date). These rehearsals aren't mandatory for participation in the show, however, if you're in the country, we strongly recommend booking on when bookings open - we'll email you a reminder.
- Dress Rehearsal Sunday 12th April 2026 at Allestree Woodlands School, DE22 2LW (mandatory for all performers)
- Show Weekend Saturday 18th & Sunday 19th April 2026 at Allestree Woodlands School, DE22 2LW (required participation on both days)

💃 Preparation & Requirements
Hair should arrive in a ballet bun. Stage makeup is required for show days Tutorial available soon so you can practise ahead of time.
- All costumes, shoes, and accessories
- Packed lunch and lidded drinks
- Entertainment items for backstage (costume-safe)
- Everything clearly labelled
Get accessories from the studio where possible. If you source your own elsewhere, they must match the same colour and brand we provide so costumes stay uniform. Accessories are only needed for the relevant genre (e.g. no ballet shoes required if you only dance Street or Musical Theatre).

💫 Costs & Commitments
Essential Fees
Dress Rehearsal & Finale T-Shirt: £40.00 + VAT (non-refundable)
Budget for one costume per dance style. Prices are averages using 2025 as a guide, so actual totals change per routine. Sometimes a costume is “source your own” if it’s easier or cheaper individually. Unsure? Ask us early!

👥 Backstage & Support
Dressers
Volunteer dressers keep the show running smoothly. Staff and registered dressers only backstage. Register with Gill at reception (First Aid, Safeguarding and/or Chaperone training required).
Safety & Security
Sign-in/out required for every student. No unauthorised backstage access, personal items at owner's risk, and Sunday is professionally recorded, so no audience photography/recording.

Our Commitment
The annual show is a highlight of our school year: a celebration of our students' hard work, dedication, and talent. It's more than just a performance; it's a chance for every dancer to shine and create lasting memories with their dance family.

Important: You won't need to create a new account or add students. This is the same platform as our invoice and class register system. If you find yourself adding student details, you're probably creating a duplicate, so look for the “Log In” button instead.
